AQUABENEFIT at the 1st Iberian Lima River Congress

On 29–30 May, the 𝗔𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗧 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 1𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀, held at the School of Agriculture of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (ESA-IPVC), in Ponte de Lima.

The congress brought together researchers, public authorities, associations, water managers, and citizens from both sides of the border to discuss challenges and opportunities related to the sustainable management of the Lima River basin and to showcase ongoing projects focused on aquatic ecosystems.

During the event, AQUABENEFIT presented a scientific poster introducing the project's background, methodological framework, and research objectives, which focus on assessing the ecological benefits associated with bivalve aquaculture.

Participation in this congress provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate the project, foster knowledge exchange, and strengthen connections between research, environmental management, and society.
